Portable Negative Pressure

The Aerosol Containment Tent™ (ACT), creates a negative pressure environment zone around a patient’s head. neck, and shoulders to prevent the spread of infectious aerosol particles into the environment from the patient. The device provides extra protection for healthcare providers from aerosols.

The ACT™ is an essential tool for protecting healthcare providers and enhancing flexibility in temporary facilities.

A Rapidly Deployed, made in Canada solution

The idea for the Aerosol Containment Tent (ACT™) was rapidly designed and developed to protect healthcare workers from infectious aerosols. MACH32 has leveraged Canadian-based engineering, manufacturing and fabrication facilities. The ACT™ is truly a made-in Canada solution.

How does it work?

Viral aerosols are contained in the tent using negative pressure, the same principle behind isolation rooms. The contaminated air is then filtered.

patient access ports

Four patient access ports are provided: two above the patient’s head, and one on each side.

The access ports allow the patient to be treated from three sides.

Equipment can be moved in and out of the tent via the access ports.

Sturdy, lightweight design

The tent frame is made out of steel tubing, which provides a easy to manipulate, yet robust design.

We’ve partnered with Andau Medical to distribute the ACT in Canada.
